Coach Ross Morgan
Director of Coaching
We are pleased to have Coach Ross Morgan at the helm supervising the development of our player base and delivering continuous education to the staff. Coach Ross is a British National from Cardiff, Wales. His coaching career spans over the past 15 years, of which 9 years were in the U.K. He is a past staff for the Welsh, FA., received the FAW Prelim Award in 1994, UEFA (United European Football Association) C license conversion in 1998, and the UEFA B license in 1999. He completed Par I of the UEFA A license in 2003 and Part II in 2005.

Coach Joel Banta
Director of Coaching
The Myrtle Beach native joins Coast FA after a successful stint as Director of Coaching for the former Coastal Soccer Club. Joel posseses a wealth of coaching knowledge and experience at every level of soccer. He is presently the Assistant Camp Director for Coastal Carolina Soccer Camps, and also the Director for all CCSC day camps. He led both the Myrtle Beach High School Boys and Girls Programs to the ranks of the elite in the state, having also coached at Lowcountry Day School and Socastee High School. Coach Banta’s playing experience includes playing for Coastal Carolina University, appearing in the 1995 NCAA Tournament. He holds a USSF C License.

Coach Joel Barber
Coach Joel holds a NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma as well as a National Goalkeeping Diploma. He also serves as a part-time assistant coach at
Coastal
Carolina
University .
Coach Joel settled in Myrtle Beach after serving as an assistant coach with the men’s soccer program at St. Bonaventure University. While there, he helped the Bonnies to a No. 12 national ranking (NCAA Division 1). Prior to that, he spent two years at his alma mater,
Houghton
College , working as an assistant soccer coach.
A native of East Aurora, NY, Barber helped lead his club team to two premier state championships before playing collegiately at
Houghton
College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1998. While there, he helped the squad to three NAIA National Tournament appearances and a National ranking as high as No. 3. From there, he attained his master’s in education and has been teaching in the public school system since.

Coach Raymond D’Argenio
Coach D’Argenio comes to our community from New York where he posted an impressive record as Head Coach of Men’s Soccer at City College and Head Coach of Pelham Traveling Soccer Club. He is past Assistant Head Coach of Coastal Carolina University Men’s Soccer Team.

Coach Jason Himmelsbach
Coach Jason played his high school soccer at nationally ranked McCallie School, and for the Region III Finalist Hamilton FC. He went on to play at Wofford College. After college, he spent time teaching the game and playing for Manyara FC in Tanzania, Africa. Coach Jason is presently the head coach of the Myrtle Beach High School program. He holds a USSF D license and a NSCAA National Diploma.

Coach Keith Fontaine
Coach Keith is a former
Maryland resident who has over 10 years experience coaching at both the high school and club level. At the high school level his record is 61-11-7 with three regional championships and a state runner up finish. His team consistently held a top 20 ranking in both the Washington Post and the
Baltimore Sun polls. At the club level Fontaine coached multiple WAGS Division 1 teams and was a winner at both The Cocoa Beach Invitational and the Disney Cup. Coach Keith holds a USSF “A” license.

Coach Brandi Fontaine
Coach Brandi is a former Maryland resident. She graduated from Francis Marion University in December 2007 with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in History. Coach Brandi is a former player at FMU from 2005 to 2007. She was a 2007 and 2006 PBC Presidential and FMU Swamp Fox Athletic- Academic honoree, captain her senior year and part of the FMU transition to Division 1. She transferred to FMU from
West Virginia
University were she had help the Mountaineers advance to the 2nd round of the NCAA I Tournament. Coach Brandi holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and is currently an assistance coach at Francis Marion University.

Coach Kevin McGovern
A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Sports Administration, Kevin’s experience includes working with the Tampa Bay Mutiny, University of South Florida Athletic Department and Super Y-League. He is currently the Southeastern Regional Manager for US Club Soccer. His duties include club registration and tournament and league development for 11 different states. His 13 years of coaching brought him from Tampa, to Atlanta, to Aiken SC, to Myrtle Beach, where he coached teams at Apharetta Ambush (Atl), Countryside Lightning ( Clearwater), Hillsboro County (Tampa) and Diadora United (Aiken SC). . Coach Kevin holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Coach Rusti Pierce
Rusti has an impressive record as a player. He played interccollegiate soccer at the University of of North Carolina at Greensboro, was drafted by the New England Revelolution as the 14th overall pick in the MLS Super Draft in 2000. He remained at New England through 2004, where his achievements include Defender of the Year, Man of the Year and Boston Sports Awards Rookie of the Year (for all Boston sports). In 2005 he joined Real Salt Lake. Then moved on to the Columbus Crew from 2006-2007. Other achievements as a player include 1997 High School Parade All-American, 1997 U-18 Men’s National Team, 1998-1999 U20 Men’s National Team and competed in the Youth World Championships in Nigeria. From 20001 -present Rusti has coached various youth club teams. He is also Founder of Precision Soccer Camps, LLC which runs camps in Texas, Utah and Ohio. Coast FA is pleased to have Coach Rusti as a member of its staff.

Coach Beth Tucci
Coast FA is proud to welcome Beth Tucci to its girls coaching staff. Beth is currently head coach of Myrtle Beach High School girls’ varsity soccer and a middle school math teacher at Bridgewater Academy, Horry County’s charter school. Prior to the Myrtle Beach High position, Beth coached at Boy’s Latin, a premiere private school in Baltimore and before that worked with entry level girls in Columbia, Maryland.
Her playing career includes ten years of New Jersey club soccer and four years of varsity soccer at Haddonfield High, where she was selected all conference for three years and All State her senior year. At the collegiate level, Beth played four years of Division I Soccer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), team captain her junior and senior year, led her team to Big South Tournament and North East Conference Tournament finals for two consecutive years and selected to the Academic All Conference Team all four years of year collegiate career. She concluded her playing career as a professional player for the Oklahoma Outrage in the summer of 2000.
