Coast 96 (U10) Boys Red demonstrated that they could do it in the U11 Division. On a beautiful Memorial
Day weekend the 96s finished first in their group to earn a berth in the finals. The boys posted 4-1, 3-0 and 3-0 victories against Central Georgia Strikers Gold, GSA Barcelona and Alpharetta Ambush Red, respectibely. Alphretta, a U10 boys team also playing in the U11 bracket, is considered one of the top U10 teams in Atlanta. Nevertheless, the 96s scored a decisive victory against Apharetta raising theirs hopes of good things to come next fall.
On the other side of the bracket Augusta ASA U11 emerged as finalist. "We were looking forward to playing ASA because we wanted to see how we stacked up against this team, since it had posted a 5-2 victory against our 95 (U11) Boys in a previous tournament in April" said Coach Joel Banta. ASA came out on top by one goal, but the 96s came out of the match with a moral victory. The final score was 2-1 ASA.

Two 96 (U10) Boys PDC teams travel to Wilmington to participate in the annual Cape Fear Seaside Classic this weekend.
The Coast 96 White posted a 1-1-1 record in their group. “I was very proud of the players’ performance particularly with Jake Perito” said Coach Ross. “His vision of the game was excellent. He positioned himself well to shut down the opponents advance, and was there to support his team in the attack.” Charles Ouverson demonstrated that he is an impact player on the pitch along with Foster Russell. Keaton Zimmer, Blade Lewis and Jason Mende put in very good performances and congratulations to Hampton Peace for a fine goal in the third match.
The 96 Black won their group and brought home Runner-up honors in a hard fought battle against Triangle United FC out of Raleigh NC . The score seesawed back and forth during the final match. “We had our chances to put the game away with several opportunities created by Connor Sloan.” said Coach Ross. In the last minute Triangle scored an exceptional goal. Final score Triangle FC - 4, Coast FA - 3.
The team fought hard and never gave up. Connor Sloan, Davis Hogan and David Gonzalez posted solid performances. Their leadership and determination was evident on the pitch. Maddox Wilkerson played with determination and had an outstanding assist with a cross to the far post, where David Gonzalez one-touched it in for a goal. Anthony Altomari and Tommy Rives put several nice goals in during the tournament. And, Josh Barua was awesome in goal as his fine performance was noted by the Triangle FC coach during the awards ceremony.
