Dateline: Thursday September 5, 2013

Several Coast teams won top honors in two pre season tournaments over the Labor Day Holidays. Coach Pat Piscitelli’s Coast 99G Crush girls posted a perfect 4 win 0 loss record in the top division of U14 girls against four North Carolina opponents at the Visit Lake Norman Kickoff . " It is nice to play so well in a tournament environment to start off the season . I learned alot about my team this weekend with this being my first season with this group. I am looking forward to starting our league match schedule " said Coach Piscatelli. The girls posted 15 total goals while allowing only 2 on their way to the championship. Click for Image

Coach Jeremy Glick started his coaching career at Coast by winning the championship of the U-13 boys top division with his Coast 00 Red team at the RBC Classic in Chapel Hill , N.C. Coach Glick’s squad posted 18 goals and surrendered only 4 over the weekend. " I am brand new with this team and many of these kids have played together for three or four years . They made a very difficult decision to play 11V11 a year early last season and took a few lumps against older teams. I look to reap the benefits of that decision because I did not see any intimidation from them on the big field today " added Coach Glick. Click for Image

The Coast 03 Red boys coached by Swavek Apanowicz picked up where they left off last year by winning this year’s RBC Classic in the top division of U-10. The team ran through the division with four one sided results . " We have added an additional U10 team this year and brought in Coach Carl Clark to run the second squad . The future looks very bright for this age group that now boast 22 players and two quality coaches in Apanowicz and Clark. Click for Image
