Dateline: Monday September 16, 2013
Coast FA sent 21 teams to beautiful Rock Hill , South Carolina over the weekend and returned home with seven teams placing in the finals of their respective divisions. " The field conditions were immaculate at all of the locations , the weather was perfect and the tournament was well run by the staff at DSC. It is always a pleasure to bring our kids to Rock Hill and have a chance to play the Charlotte area teams. It is a very good sign for Coast to have a third of the teams that we entered play for a championship at this level of competition " said director Heyward Gulledge. (click links below for images)

The 96 Black team posted a 2-1-1 record for the event and the 98 Flames started out strong with three victories but lost their final match.
The Coast 02G Red girls squad led by Coach Callie Dennis won the championship trophy in the U11 division while avenging a bitter loss to DSC Lady Green in our 2013 Coast Spring Classic. The 02 Red team surrendered only two goals over the course of four matches on their way to a 4-0-0 record. Coach Carl Clark led the U-10 boys Coast 03 Black to the winners circle with a tremendous offensive display scoring 37 goals . Both U-10 boys teams had exceptional weekends in Rock Hill.
The Coast 01G Red girls coached by Stepheney Burnett got off to a fast start posting two victories on Saturday but ran into a very good Furman United team on Sunday to finish as finalist with a 2-2-0 record. Coach China Maja’s Coast 98 Red boys finished second in the U15 boys division posting a 2-1-1 record. " Playing in a quality early season tournament like the DSC Classic will help prepare all of our teams for their league play and State Cup in a few months. This was a great weekend for the kids " added Coast DOC Joel Banta
