Coast Teams Dominant at James Island Cup

For the second time in the Fall season the Coast U8 boys program entered two balanced teams in a tournament and wound up playing one another in the championship match. Both the Coast 05 Red and Coast 05 Black team ripped through their three qualifying matches to set up the all Coast final. Coach Justin Wolf's 05 Red boys edged Coach Aaron Millers 05 Black team in a hard fought match where the two teams claimed all of the U8 hardware. " This is a great way to end the Fall season for the two U8 teams and really says a lot for the strength and depth of this age group. I think everyone is ready for the six week break to spend some quality time with their families. The start of training on January 6th will be here before we know it " said Coach Wolf.

Coach Swavek Apanowicz Coast 03 Red (click for image) team added yet another championship to their trophy case by outclassing the field at James Island. The boys posted four one sided victories on their way to the championship scoring a combined twenty six goals while allowing just three .One tournament remains this Fall for the 03 Red at the Norcross Nike Cup where they will face metro Atlanta teams. " I am eager to see how the team does against anticipated stronger competition in Atlanta. This team has had much success in the Carolinas and we are excited to place them where they will be challenged. This will be their last 6v6 tournament before moving up to the much larger 8v8 field a full six months ahead of schedule. Great job by both coaches and the entire U10 player pool " said Coast DOC Joel Banta
